Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving if you live in the United States. People from all over the country camp out in front of the stores they perceive have the most bargains for their money. It can be very stressful, depending on what the popular item is, for you to get in the store and actually get the items that you want.
Have I done it in the past, yes. It is not fun. I rather sit in the comfort of my home and buy online or go in to the store after the rush. It looks a bit like what we get in the “January Sales” here in UK. They start just after Christmas! Black Friday here is the last working Friday before Christmas because everyone goes out celebrating and doesn’t go to shops much. Very quiet day compared to other days around Christmas.

I’d never heard of ‘Black Friday’ before and I’ve been online since 1994!
We have ‘Boxing Day’ sales here in Australia – it’s when everyone who didn’t like the present they were given takes it back to the shops and then hunts down heaps of bargains!
I dislike the lack of parking so I usually drop the kids off to shop so I can have some peace after the hectic big day 🙂
It was down in the teens here and there was no way I was going to stand outside in the cold to go shopping. Australia is a place I want to visit one day. Have a great weekend. Anita
