Has Anyone Asked You For An Interview?
This summer I decided to further my online education by registering for "Branded Professional." This program was developed by one of my mentor's Natasha Hazlett. She created a challenge called the Power Hour which gave members a chance to shine. Only certain people took advantage of this and we were able to put together training webinars for the membership. People who participated definitely found themselves out of their comfort zone but what a great experience it was.
Natasha set the Power Hour up as a competition between 8 to 10 members. We could speak on any topic we wanted. Of course social media is my specialty so I wanted to teach on that topic. There was a variety of topics chosen which made it an interesting and hard for the audience to vote on who they wanted to learn more from.
Even though I did not win the challenge, I was the runner up. I was grateful for the people who thought I added value and voted for me.
Here are pics of Ree and I receiving our awards.
In October, I attended the Branded event in Boise, Idaho. While there, a fellow attendee asked if she could interview me. Wow, I was blown away. I was so honored to be asked and thinking that someone thought I was important enough to interview me. Thank you Pat Campbell for this interview.
I wanted to share this story with you as I think it is important for you to lead with value and people will find you a valuable resource.
Here is the 9 minute interview we did in Boise.

Congratulations Anita. I have heard of Natasha Hazlett; however, I do not recall in what capacity. I am working with a Branding coach right now and it is definitely taking me out of my comfort zone. I do not like social media at all; consequently, stepping out into those worlds consistency is a real drag for me. Too bad that I cannot outsource it.
I do have to outsource a few small things as I can’t keep up with everything. I was so surprised when Pat asked me. I really believe that attraction marketing works as long as you lead with value. Thanks Anita
It must be awesome to be interviewed for the first time. Congratulation.
Thank you. I was shocked when she asked me and was happy to do it. Anita
Great interview Anita. I am glad we were in the Power Hour Challenge together. I learned a lot from you and feel I got to know you better.
The same here. I was nerve racking but I am so competitive and love teaching people new information. Congrats again. Anita
Interview is a great tool. I love doing interviews and I prefer listening to them versus someone just talking. I think people show more of themselves and their excitement for their topic when they are interviewed and talking to another person.
I totally agree with you. It helps with branding yourself and becoming the expert. Anita
Well done Anita you must feel very proud of yourself. Great post.
I was very honored that she asked and love doing them. Anita
