As you have read in the last two posts, you know there are different ways to increase your EdgeRank. Hopefully, you will put some of these tips into affect to help you better rank in the news feed.
There are many debates on what time you should post during the days. Some say 10 a.m., between 1 and 3 p.m. and later afternoon, early evening between 5:30 and 7:00 p.m.. Do not forget to post on the weekends as it is just as important even though there may not be the same amount of interaction as there is during the week.
Other people think you should post 6 a.m, 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. just so you can hit all of the time zones. Do I post that many times, no. You have to do what is best for you. If you post differently, and it is working, then keep doing it.
Just remember, you do need to post more than once and post relevant content. You need to keep your fans interested as a Facebook post has the life span of three hours.
Discussing current events is a great way to get your fans involved. If it is a holiday, post images or something you are thankful for. Most likely your fans are talking about the same thing.
If there is a big news event that is happening in the news, you can incorporate it into your marketing campaign, such as the economy. If there is a tragedy, like the school shooting in December, you can post your condolences. It makes you more human and they will relate to you.
This strategy I do all of the time. I ask questions and then I promote the post. Fans like to answer questions. I cover such topics as what plans do you have for New Years Eve or what part of their business are they struggling in. The latter part is a great tool as you can make info products to solve their problems.
You can also ask for feedback. Facebook users love to do this. Feedback is a way to make you and your business better. By creating great content and help them solve their problems is only going to grow your business. If you know your audience and know what they want, the more engaged they will become.
You can mix up the content you post on your Facebook page. Fans do not want to hear the same thing over and over again. By mixing things up, it is more entertaining for your fans.
According to Hubspot, post ideas such as photos of happy customers, case studies, photos of employees, humorous jokes and images, poll your audience for fun or research, ask fans to fill in the caption of a photo, post new product tips and run contest.
Invite people to subscribe to your page. You can offer an incentive, it does not need to be expensive. You could provide a 15 minute coaching offer, or offer to give them some feedback on their business page or website, or offer a free info product to them.
If you have a great post, pin it. It keeps it pinned at the top to the left. These posts will stay at the top for 7 days. These posts will be the first ones seen when people arrive at your page. Use this sparingly. You want to engage your readers, so display your best post.
