The Journey Continues:
I know, I got off track with my story in the last article but I thought it was important to tell you how we were in debt and struggling to make things work.
In December 2011, I bought into another MLM. This one I thought would be easier to market as you could run ads to it and it built an asset for families. But guess what, I could not build a downline with this company either. I thought with all the training I would be able to start making some real money. Well, that did not happen.
My Facebook Marketing was not doing too bad, started building a list, not a big one but at least I could say I had one. Still not making any money. My fans were increasing and I started to have a following. I had everything on my page the way I wanted it and then Facebook decided to go with the Timeline. It was like I had to build my page all over again because the current landing pages did not fit with the look of the Timeline, had to get some new photos so I could have a Timeline photo that Branded me. I had to work harder to get it back to the point I was happy with.
I was getting frustrated even though I had a following but they were not buying from me. Gurus want you to tell your story but I did not have one, I wasn't making any money nor was I generating leads day after day. Who wanted to listen to me? They also said tell someone else' story. If I did that, how would it help me?
Again, I went online trying to find another way to help me make money. I thought I found the perfect solution. I have been following this person around for a while and he decided to put together a training course featuring 7 trainers from different backgrounds. It was called Cash Control Academy with Andrew Cass. I thought another training would not hurt. They all gave us their story and what they did but I really needed someone to show me step by step. He was offering a workshop in Miami and decided I needed to go, not only to meet these people, but hopefully, get some hands on training.
It was an amazing workshop with plenty of bonuses. I learned a lot. How could you not learn from Andrew Cass, Tim Erway, Ann Sieg, Mark Hoverson, Tim Sales, Aaron Rashkin, Ray and Ferny (SEO specialist). I tried to implement everything they had told us but I was still missing something, a MENTOR
Until that workshop, I had been doing most of this on my own. You CAN NOT do this business by yourself. You really need a menor. The great thing from this workshop is that I met Ann Sieg and she offered another training using webinars as part of your business. I did the training and finally found a mentor who is hands on, offers one on one coaching, and wants you to succeed. I have been with Ann ever since March. What a difference it makes to have a mentor and someone to bounce ideas off from. Not only do I have her but her whole team.
I am getting my business on track, I am more focused, and have a whole group of people watching my back. I am to the point in my business that people are asking for help with their social media needs. I love to teach and teaching is how you attract customers to you.
That is pretty much my story. I could go one but don't want to bore you to death. Just remember, everyone has hard time starting out with an online business but if you do not have a mentor, it is going to be very difficult to do. Learn from my mistakes and get your business moving forward.
Please leave a comment below as I would love to hear how you are doing in your business or if you are having struggles that I could help you with.
