People are always thinking on how they can sell their products or services over the holiday season. Did you have a campaign strategy for Black Friday? Here are a few tips I learned from
socialbakers.com that I think you could incorporate into your business in the next couple of weeks.
"Top 10 Marketing Tips For Christmas"
1. Create a fresh strategy: Because of the hustle and bustle over the holidays, you need to make your marketing strategy flexible. It seems like schedules have gone out the window and that you need to post more frequently, post times and post frequently.
2. Consider Customer Service: The month of December when sales increases, so doesn't the questions. So make sure you schedule times or have someone available to answer questions for your customers.
3. Create Custom Seasonal Imagery: According to SocialBakers, "the best performing posts from Thanksgiving & Black Friday involved brands creating custom seasonal imagery—placing their logo and branding onto posts featuring products or recognizable scenes. This also assures brand awareness if your posts get shared outside of your targeted audience."
4. Don't go to heavy on the products: Everyone wants to sell their products or services but keep your posts short and friendly. You don't want to oversell and lose potential buyers. Keep an even flow of posts that are engaging but you could possibly use
dark posts for your advertising.
5. Cover the buying concerns: Ease your customers concerns when they are ordering from you regarding free delivery, easy returns and special offers.
6. Consider competitions: You could have a countdown to Christmas here there are prizes given away daily. This will help with engagement, acquiring new fans and generate profits for your business.
7. Give your page the personal touch: Showcase your employees. Some pages have had their employees dress us as Christmas elves. Be creative and give your page a face.
8. Schedule Posts for maximun effort: Holidays are so busy and your employees or yourself may not be working, make sure you have scheduled enough posts to get your through the holidays.
9. Look at competitor data from last year: Look what has been in the past and come up with a strategy that will move your business forward during this time of year.
10. Measure your Christmas campaigns fully: Make sure you measure your campaigns through your ads to help you get the best conversation rates.

There are some really nuggets here. Especially covering the customers concerns. So often marketers forget that its a conversation not just buy my stuff.
I think Customer service is a major part of building your business and people forget that. Thanks for stopping by Raphael. Anita
Hi Anita,
I’m new to your blog via Beth Hewitt. These are great tips. I especially like number 4. I like following the “Parato Principle” that 80% content and 20% sales model.
We all need to sell our stuff, but giving good content and getting to know others is the best way to do it in my book! You have given me food for thought because I’m launching a product soon and do have to measure up to my “competition.” This is one of my to-do’s right now.
Thanks again,
Donna
Good luck with your launch Donna. Keep me posted on how well it went. Anita
Thanks for these tips Anita. It is such a hectic time of year but with a strategy and a little planning things can go a lot more smoothly.
It goes so much smoothly when things are planned and not rushed. Anita
Great tips, Anita! Makes a lot of sense! I love the one about not over-selling during this time…everyone’s doing it, and people get fed up of being sold to. Glad to have discovered you! Here from UBC 🙂
I am so glad you stopped by. Thanks and am glad that these tips were helpful. Anita

Your welcome. You will have to have your ducks in a row before you can do a well marketing strategy. Anita
Good afternoon Anita,
I have to admit that I think that I am really partial to tip #4 – so many people are just trying to sell, sell, sell and are missing the obvious…
People love to buy, but do not like being sold….
So I do like you, and many of us professionals, we come from a position of proving value, and giving people things to consider…and not leading with a product or sign up link!
Great post and thanks for sharing!
Your very welcome. People do tend to over sell during the holidays. Thanks for stopping by. Anita
